MB Construction — property management, rent collection and worksites

A complete property management application, generated then shaped around the client's trade, online eight days after the first commit

Delivered in October 2026

8
days from first commit to going live

The context

An Ivorian construction and property management company, landlord of its own properties and manager of properties entrusted by owners, which also runs its own worksites.

The problem

Rent receipts came out of a paper book, reminders and collection rounds were tracked separately, and every payout to an owner had to be pieced back together. Knowing what a tenant owes, what a collector handed in and what a worksite cost meant cross-checking sources that never talked to each other.

What I did

A Spring Boot 4 API on Java 25 and an Angular application, on PostgreSQL, cover the full cycle: properties, units and management agreements; leases and contracts generated from clause templates; rents, move-in collection, a deposit kept in a ledger and a two-step lease ending; reminders, collection rounds and collector performance; owner payouts with a PDF statement; worksite expenses per lot; cash desk, cash counts and bank reconciliation. The rent receipt reproduces the client's paper book line for line, three per A4 sheet, and is sent over WhatsApp through a signed link. Hosting fits on a single server: Docker Compose, Traefik over HTTPS, scripted backups, and the GitLab pipeline run by the server's own runner.

The outcome

Online since 10 October 2026, eight days after the first commit, and still growing since. What a tenant owes, what a collector handed in and what an owner is due are read straight from the application, with nothing to piece back together.
